Marcelo Blay is the founder and CEO of Minuto Seguros. He has been in the market for 32 years: he worked for 10 years at Porto Seguros, having worked in the Automobile and Health areas.

Marcelo Blay is the founder and CEO of Minuto Seguros. He has been in the market for 32 years: he worked for 10 years at Porto Seguros, having worked in the Automobile and Health areas. He was vice president (COO) of Itaú Seguros for 6 years. He was a member of the Board of Tempo for 4 years when, in 2010, he decided to start a business by launching Minuto Seguros, a pioneering broker and leader in the sale of insurance over the internet in Brazil. In July 2021, Minuto was acquired by Creditas, one of the most important fintechs in Latin America, where Blay is the VP of Insurance.

Blay holds a degree in Engineering from Escola de Engenharia Mauá with an MBA in Finance from FGV and a specialization from Columbia University (NY). He was vice-president of the Insurers Union and professor at FIA (USP) and at the FGV School of Law, as well as vice-president of the Fraud Combat Commission of the Federation of Insurance Companies. He is currently the Coordinator of the Innovation Committee of the São Paulo Insurance Brokers Union; Academic by ANSP and member of the Deliberative Council of Hospital Israelita Brasileiro Albert Einstein. He was a member of the SUSEP Insurtech and Innovation Commission and vice president of the NGO Unibes for 6 years.
